So many amazing neighborhoods!
n 2010, photographer José Maria Zyberchema launched the Painted Doors Project intended to revitalize this neglected part of the city called the “Zona Velha” (the old zone). He invited local artists to paint over 200 doors that are each amazing. Now there are great restaurants and pubs opening up in the neighborhood. Theres no dispute that the project saved that area. Now we need more projects to help with the crumbling yet beautiful areas in downtown.
